We all know what an amazing stallion American Ideal was and will continue to be through his sons and daughters. What some of you may not know was that American Ideal loved to chase butterflies in his paddock!

It always brought a smile to the faces of the staff to see him dash off after a butterfly in his paddock, persistently chasing it around and around, up and down – just like a child – curious and playful and generally loving life. For whatever reason there was always butterflies in his paddock and he ever passed up the opportunity for a frolic with them!

It was a real honour and privilege to have American Ideal stand with us for the final five years of his life. We are extremely grateful he touched our lives and he will be remembered always. A dignified gentlemen right until the very end – RIP American Ideal.
